A Winning Photo: “A Golden Dawn” Takes Top Honors

It pleases me to announce that my photograph, “A Golden Dawn,” took top honors at the 78th Annual Piedmont Art Fair in the Amateur Photographer class. I made this photo early one summer morning along a stone fence-lined field as the sun was just cresting the horizon. Behind the iconic wall, a field of sun-kissed grass, with a farmstead in the distance.

I printed the photo sized at 11X14 inches, which when matted made a 16X20 inch picture. The photograph was displayed at the show in a prominent spot and adorned with a large blue ribbon denoting its prize winning status. I’m pleased to say that the photo was sold during the show and that some lucky buyer will have it to adorn their walls with a memento of the beautiful areas in which we live.

This photo is one of several depicting scenes from my native northern Virginia that are included in my Boundaries Collection. There they are presented for viewing or, if you prefer, for purchase for yourself or as a gift to a special person. All my photos can be purchased as unmounted prints or matted and framed in a variety of sizes.

I hope you will enjoy browsing these photos to see the beauty of the area where I live and work. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I’ll be pleased to respond.
